Cirba to expand US battery manufacturing

Cirba Solutions, an end-of-life battery recycling company, has chosen New York-listed engineer Jacobs to help it expand facilities across the US as local content requirements stipulated in the IRA continue to shape EV supply chains in the US.

Jacobs will manage the design and support construction of multiple sites for Cirba, including its lithium-ion reprocessing facility in Lancaster, Ohio. The $200mn expansion project recently received more than $82mn in grants from the US Department of Energy.
