Toyota doubles down in hydrogen versus BEV trucking debate

The pro-hydrogen OEM has deepened a fuel cell truck partnership. Is this a sign of H2 winning the race against BEVs to create a zero-carbon haulage industry?

Japan’s Toyota has extended of its commercial involvement with US truck manufacturer Paccar where Toyota will provide “next-generation hydrogen fuel cell modules” to the latter’s Kenworth and Peterbilt truck brands. With assembly of the modules beginning later this year in the US, Toyota has cemented its commitment to hydrogen as the zero-emission solution for the trucking haulage industry.
