What do an Israeli battery start-up, manganese sulphate processing and home energy management have in common?
In late June US OEM GM announced the acquisition of Algolion, an Israeli company that has developed technology that will warn EV drivers if their battery is going to overheat. Two days previously, the automaker revealed details of Ultium Home, its home energy management system, and two days before that it announced an agreement with metals firm Element 25 to supply GM with battery grade manganese sulphate.
