Tesla chief Elon Musk teased the company’s next two models at its annual shareholder meeting and estimated sales volumes would outstrip any current vehicle on the market by some distance.
“If I were to guess, just these two new products alone, we will probably make — this is just Elon’s guess, so do not sue me — but Elon’s guess is that we will probably make in excess of 5mn units a year of these two products combined,” Musk told Tesla’s annual shareholder meeting in Austin, Texas, in mid-May.
