Stellantis’ German BEV horror show
The Amsterdam-headquartered conglomerate joins Renault and Tesla in Teutonic turmoil
The French brand already has three offerings in the size class
Stellantis marque Peugeot will unveil its new E-408 at the Paris Motor Show next month. The firm has not specified a launch date for the vehicle, but boasts that the addition will give it the “most comprehensive and the widest of any European brand”.
The E-408 saloon is “unique in its segment thanks to its dynamic fastback design”, Peugeot says. This puts it stylistically somewhere between the E-308 compact saloon and the E-3008 fastback SUV in Peugeot’s C-segment BEVs.
There is also the E-308 SW all-electric estate, means that four of Peugeot’s nine products in its BEV passenger car line-up are in the C segment.
Below them, it hails the E-208 as the “top performer in the electric B segment in Europe” and France’s bestselling electric car in the first half of this car. It is joined in the B segment by the E-2008 compact SUV.
And in the D segment, Peugeot offers the seven-seater E-5008 SUV. The French marque also sells two MPVs, the e-Rifter and e-Traveller.
In addition, Peugeot has three all-electric light commercial vehicles in its portfolio, the E-Partner, E-Expert and E-Boxer electric vans.
