Tesla faces new battle in the North American charging wars
US charging infrastructure could be set for a major boost after seven of the world’s leading automakers announced a joint venture (JV) to build a US fast charging network. In a move that will challenge Tesla’s high ground in the charging standards war, the project will see GM, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes, Stellantis, and BMW team up to bring widespread DC fast charging along to the highway network and in the urban environment.
